Rep. Rice (SC-07) issued the following statement today after the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation to address the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) needless air traffic controller furloughs:
"This past week my colleagues and I criticized the FAA's air traffic controller furloughs and overall poor management of sequestration cuts. Since the Administration refused to act, the House and Senate came together to put an end to this manufactured crisis. Without giving the agency any additional funding, my colleagues and I passed bipartisan legislation that allows the FAA to transfer funding from low-priority accounts to personnel accounts ending these inessential air traffic controller furloughs."
