U.S. Congressman Frank A. LoBiondo (NJ-02), chair of the House Aviation Subcommittee, today issued the following statement after the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) approval of Boeing's proposed modifications to the Dreamliner 787:

"I'm pleased the process is moving forward and that the FAA will closely oversee the air carriers' modifications. The FAA, NTSB and Boeing have kept the Subcommittee well-informed throughout and I will see that they continue to do so as the aircraft returns to flight. I applaud the hard work and concerted effort between Boeing and FAA employees to ensure the safety of the aircraft and the flying public."
