Governor Scott Walker Signs Senate Bill 35

Governor Scott Walker signed Senate Bill 35 today which relates to the definition and powers of an electricity transmission company and alters some aspects of the Public Service Commission's certificate of public convenience and necessity application process.

"The bill gives transmission companies more opportunities to expand investments and create jobs," Governor Walker said. "I thank Senator Paul Farrow (R-Pewaukee) and Representative Mark Honadel (R-South Milwaukee) for their work on this bipartisan bill."

The bill passed the Senate with bipartisan support on a vote of 32-1 and passed the Assembly on a voice vote.
