Hoyer Statement on the Apprehension of the At-Large Suspect in the Boston Marathon Bombing

Statement

Date: April 19, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (MD) released the following statement after law enforcement agents in Massachusetts apprehended the at-large suspect in the Boston marathon bombing:

"Over the past few days, and particularly the last several hours, Americans saw once again why our law enforcement and first responders are the best in the world. The Boston Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, FBI, and many other law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation and operations in the aftermath of Monday's attack have a nation's gratitude. So too do the resilient people of Boston.

"As we learn more in the coming days and weeks, let us remain united in our determination that those who would confront America with terror will be met swiftly with justice."
