U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz issued the following statement today after the explosions at the Boston Marathon.
"I was deeply saddened by today's senseless and horrifying act of violence at the Boston Marathon. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and loved ones. I pray for the swift recovery of those who were injured, and I extend my deepest condolences to the people of Massachusetts and to the marathon competitors and spectators from around the world. We are all grateful to the law enforcement officers, medical professionals and other first responders who helped the injured and secured the area."
