Congressman Xavier (CA-34), Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, joined Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer and other members of the Democratic Caucus today to unveil new "Make It In America" initiatives for the 113th Congress and released the following statement:

"There's no issue before Congress more important than jobs. That's why members of the House Democratic Caucus are united behind the "Make It In America" initiatives to reignite America's manufacturing industry and create good paying jobs here at home that will strengthen the middle class and grow our economy.

"I applaud our Whip Steny Hoyer's relentless focus on these common-sense proposals to develop a national manufacturing strategy that will help businesses create jobs and invest in our workforce to compete in the global economy.

"America works when Americans are working. And when we make it in America, our families and workers can make it in America."
