Maffei Joins More than 55 Lawmakers Committed to Working across the Aisle
Representative Dan Maffei (D-NY) announced today that he is joining No Labels' Problem Solvers -- a group of 56 Democrats and Republicans committed to meeting regularly across the aisle to build trust and talk about solving problems.
"I'm excited to join a coalition committed to solving problems and common sense solutions," said Rep. Dan Maffei. "Central New Yorkers want to see Congress addressing the big challenges facing this country -- and partnering with results-oriented members of Congress from both sides of the aisle is a great place to start."
"By joining the Problem Solvers, Rep. Dan Maffei is proving his commitment to working across the aisle to do what's best for the country," No Labels Honorary Co-Chair Governor Jon Huntsman says. "This group is truly patriotic -- its members are putting the country first to solve problems."
"The Problem Solvers group is a big deal," No Labels Honorary Co-Chair Senator Joe Manchin says. "They can help break the bad habits that have developed in Washington, where people have developed this attitude that you're only worth talking to if you're on my team -- the Ds or the Rs. We'll prove that ultimately, we're all on the same team."
