Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D., (R-South Louisiana) issued the following statement after the House passed H. Con. Res. 25, the House Republican Budget, earlier today:
"House Republicans continue to lead by example by voting in favor of a budget balancing within 10 years. This responsible measure taken today shows House Republicans' commitment in making government operate efficiently while cutting unnecessary spending. The mentality in Washington must change and policies like these will ensure America's economy is set back on the path to prosperity. I encourage the U.S. Senate to act responsibly by passing a budget that balances to ensure taxpayers' dollars are spent more wisely."
