Boustany Backs Ryan's Proposed Budget for FY 2014

Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D., (R-South Louisiana) issued the following statement after the House of Representatives Committee on the Budget released its budget plan for fiscal year 2014:

"Today's actions by the House Committee on the Budget signify a promise made by the Republican Party to American families to work together toward a future of growth and opportunity. The budget proposed by Chairman Paul Ryan balances the federal budget in ten years while cutting Washington's spending at the same time.

"Budgets are indicative of priorities. House Republicans remain committed to creating jobs for Americans and repealing Obamacare while keeping the promises made to seniors with Social Security and Medicare. I encourage my colleagues in the House and Senate to support this proposed budget as we enact policies aimed at putting our nation back on the path to prosperity."
