New Hampshire's service men and women honor our state and country with their hard work, dedication, and service day in and day out. From Portsmouth to Pease, to the Air National Guard to the defense suppliers, New Hampshire is part and parcel to our national security. As many of you might know, Pease Air National Guard Base has been selected a finalist as the Air Force considers where to base a new, updated tanker refueling station.
The selection of Pease for the refueling station would not only be a tremendous honor for us in the Granite State and Pease's 157th Air Refueling Wing but would be an ideal, cost-effective Air National Guard solution for the KC-46A. This week I had the exciting opportunity to meet with General Will Fraser, Commander of the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), to discuss the important work done by our New Hampshire National Guards and continue to encourage the Department of Defense to select Pease Air National Guard Base for its refueling station.
I hope you'll read on to hear more about the Pease developments and other updates. As always, I am honored to represent New Hampshire in the United States Senate.
