U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX-32), Chairman of the House Rules Committee and a Member of House Republican leadership, today released the following statement regarding the Department of Labor's February unemployment report:
"While any sign of job creation is welcomed news, today's unemployment report serves a reminder that far too many North Texans are looking for work in the Obama economy. Small businesses have little reason to hire more workers when continually faced with the threat of bigger government, higher taxes, and more rules and regulations.
"To put our nation on a new path, I will continue to stand up for my constituents by making the difficult but necessary decisions to reduce wasteful spending. In the coming weeks, as House Republicans offer another serious budget proposal, we will build on our efforts to address the long-term fiscal challenges facing our nation and to get the American people back to work."
