The following is a statement from Rep. Scott Perry on President Obama's press conference about gun control:

"I have been and always will be a resolute supporter of the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. While remaining focused on such God given freedoms, I am open to well-considered and meaningful solutions that may prevent families from having to face the immeasurable loss and grief we witnessed at Sandy Hook. Although I am disappointed that President Obama decided to sign 23 executive orders without even bothering to consult Congress, I will give his recommendations full consideration. I will not, however, be party to such tragic circumstances being used to further a purely ideological and partisan agenda."
