U.S. Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) today completed a Congressional delegation visit to Israel and Afghanistan led by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
While in the two countries, Senator Flake met with U.S. military officials and personnel as well as political leaders including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel to discuss matters of importance to the US-Israeli relationship and regional issues. Additionally, Senator Flake met with troops from Arizona serving in Afghanistan.
"I'm grateful to have been a part of this visit and for the opportunity to meet with those representing and protecting U.S. interests in Israel and Afghanistan. We're all thankful for their dedication and sacrifice," said Flake. "I'm also grateful for the opportunity to meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu."
