Tim Huelskamp Awarded FRC Action's 'True Blue' Award for Unwavering Support of the Family

Kansas First District Congressman Tim Huelskamp has been recognized as a "True Blue" Member of Congress by FRC Action and CitizenLink for his unwavering commitment and consistent support in defense of life and the family. Huelskamp was one of 89 current representatives and 4 current senators to be honored with the award for the second session of the 112th Congress, scoring a perfect 100 percent.

Huelskamp also scored a perfect 100 percent in the first session of the 112th Congress.

The award honors Members of Congress who have exhibited extraordinary leadership and commitment to the defense of family, faith and freedom, according to FRC Action's scorecard covering the votes of the Second Session of the 112th Congress. Recipients of the "True Blue" Award voted consistently for pro-life and pro-family issues.

Votes in the U.S. House included:

Repealing the Health Care Law
Preventing DOJ from undermining DOMA (this was an amendment offered by Congressman Huelskamp)
Ban on Abortion on Pain-Capable Unborn children in Washington, D.C.
Tony Perkins Presents Tim Huelskamp with Award

Family Research Council Action President Tony Perkins made the following comments:
