Braley Presents Jack Taylor Grinnell Basketball Player Congressional Record

Press Release

Date: Jan. 24, 2013

Rep. Bruce Braley (IA-01) today gave Jack Taylor, a Grinnell College Sophomore, a copy of the U.S. House of Representative's Congressional Record.

"Watching the Grinnell Basketball Team and their "system' is great fun, but for an athlete to score that many points in one game is absolutely incredible," said Braley. "I am very proud of Jack and his accomplishment and I wish the Pioneers a great end of the season, Jack a quick recovery for his wrist, and many successful future seasons."

Braley spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on November 28, 2012 about Taylor's outstanding game for the Grinnell College Pioneers where he scored 138 points against Faith Baptist College. This set an NCAA record for the highest amount of points by one player in a single game.
