My thoughts and prayers are with the Adairsville community in the wake of last week's devastating tornadoes. As we begin the recovery process, my deepest thanks to the more than 1,000 volunteers who helped with clean-up this past weekend. Your generosity and sense of community are an example to all.

Adairsville Church of God is organizing a group of volunteers to assist in clean-up. Those wishing to help should meet this Saturday, Feb. 2, at 8 a.m. at the church, located at 297 Old Dixie Highway. Volunteers with chainsaws and backhoes are asked to bring them. Bartow County officials report that sanitary supplies, gift cards and monetary donations are needed.
