Rules Committee Chairman David Dreier (R-CA) issued the following statement today on the passing of Judge Robert Bork:

"I am deeply saddened by the news of Judge Robert Bork's passing. Not only was Judge Bork one of America's great legal minds, but he was also a tremendous public servant. Judge Bork built a reputation as a conservative icon due to his work in politics, his impressive jurisprudence on the bench, and his impeccable scholarship and academic pursuits. His leadership will be missed."
