Congressman Steven Palazzo (MS-04) released the following statement today after supporting "No Budget, No Pay" legislation that would require both the Senate and the House to pass annual budgets in order to receive a paycheck.

"Since I first came to Congress in 2011, the House has passed budget after responsible budget," Palazzo stated. "Every single one of those budgets went to die in the Senate while the government ran up trillion-dollar deficits. This failure to lead has made our debt problem worse and should not be rewarded. It must end today with No Budget, No Pay."

Palazzo has been a vocal advocate for a balanced budget amendment. House leadership has begun work on a plan that would balance the budget over the next 10 years.
