Bachmann Releases Statement on Latest Unemployment Numbers

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-06) released the following statement regarding the latest unemployment numbers reported today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics:

"The unemployment rate is higher today than it was when President Obama took office four years ago. Americans are hurting and this is unacceptable. If you include those who have simply stopped looking out of frustration or are underemployed, the "real' unemployment rate is a staggering 14.6 percent.

"Today's jobs numbers are another illustration that it's time for a new approach to create jobs. We can't continue the same trend of big spending, higher taxation and more job-killing regulations. When we focus on returning to free market principles, we can once again unleash the American economic prowess and help put our people back to work."
