The natural family is the cornerstone of our society and cutlure. It is the place where children are taught how to live in society; to worship; to obey laws; what is right/wrong; how to relate to other people, etc., etc. Because of this invaluable contributiion to society, to the general welfare, marriage has been favored by the State.
