Issue Position

At a time when far too many hardworking Connecticut citizens are out of work, we face some of the highest taxes in the nation. Just last year, Governor Malloy and the Democratic legislature passed the largest tax increase in state history. And still we face a sizable budget deficit. We don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. State spending has spiraled out of control. It's time for government to tighten its belt so we can lessen the oppressive tax burden placed on our hardworking Connecticut families.
