On the heels of an abysmal debate performance, Vice President Joe Biden is heading to Wisconsin today to do some clean-up work. Instead of the failed job-killing policies that have been a staple of the Obama-Biden-Baldwin agenda, former Governor Tommy Thompson will provide pro-growth solutions to get our economy back on track.

"Wisconsin families have suffered under the job-killing agenda of Vice President Joe Biden and Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin," said Thompson. "Biden and Baldwin like to talk about playing by the rules, but under their rules and regulations everyone loses. Their cap-and-trade bill would cost Wisconsin 26,000 jobs and because of excessive EPA regulations 7,500 paper mill jobs were put at risk. Over the past four years, Wisconsin families have been on the losing end of the Obama-Biden-Baldwin fiscal agenda. Instead of offering sound solutions to get the economy back on track and pay down our $16 trillion debt, Biden and Baldwin have resorted to demagoguery and excuses. With 23 million Americans unemployed or underemployed, Americans deserve better.

"I am running for the United States Senate because families deserve solutions to the problems we are facing as a country. We have always promised our children and grandchildren that the nation we leave them will be stronger, freer and more prosperous than the one we inherited. Right now, I cannot look into the eyes of my three children and eight grandchildren and make that promise today. I am committed to restoring America and keeping our promise to the next generation."
