Issue Position

Matt has been a leader on green building issues while in the Legislature. He sponsored legislation providing tax credits for green building and retrofitting and for high performance manufacturing and glass technologies. He firmly believes that green sector development can bring jobs and growth to our regional economy. Matt fought against increased taxes on families and small businesses in order to create a tax climate aimed at attracting and retaining life science companies, biotech companies, and start ups to Western Pennsylvania.
