Karen's results:

* A doubling of education funding to her district
* Millions more in Special Education Circuit Breaker funding, providing relief to communities offering services to special needs students
* A comprehensive statewide policy for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education that will prepare students for 21st century careers
* A provision in the recent education reform bill that will determine adequacy in quality public school funding
