Issue Position

The Legislature has convened five special sessions in the past two years. We need to return to the bi-partisan budgets of the past instead of costing taxpayers money by carrying partisan divides into overtime. We need a balanced approach to handling the budget. That means focusing on the basics by making cuts in discretionary spending, creating a path to recovery by ensuring job creation and retention, along with maintaining our public safety resources to protect our communities. I bring a willingness, dedication, and ability to work with others to solve the challenges we face. I have successfully managed budgets, worked with numerous agencies and community stakeholders to resolve challenges, and understand the importance of listening to others and the need for accountability.
