Transportation of people, goods, and services by air, land, rail, and water are all-important to our economic vitality and a big part of the Puget Sound region. Our transportation corridors are inadequate for both commercial and commuter users. I will work to reduce long travel times and congestion in our community. Investing in infrastructure projects and roadways such as State Route 167, State Route 161 (Meridian), the Cross Base Highway, and bridges will benefit people and our community. These types of projects assist in attracting new businesses, retaining those we have, creating jobs, and moving traffic, and commerce in a more economical manner. Funding for infrastructure must be invested in projects with proper oversight, built with efficiency and effectiveness in mind, and contribute to health, safety, and transportation for our communities.
