Issue Position

Education is the key to a better and safer community. That means funding education first. We need to support kids from the ground up to reduce the dropout rate of our students and increase the opportunity for affordable higher education in order to better prepare them for the jobs of today and tomorrow. That means supporting students, teachers, and administrators by properly funding education. Part of the solution is finding low cost ways within the budget to improve our schools' performance, such as partnering with local governments, businesses, and labor unions in order to increase apprenticeship opportunities and find out what skills employers need taught in our schools.
