Issue Position: Defending Nevadans' Rights

Issue Position

Location: Unknown

In 2010, Mark was appointed by the Governor to represent the State of Nevada in the federal lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the federal health-care insurance mandate. He took the lead, free of charge to taxpayers, to protect Nevadans from being forced to purchase a product--in this case a Washington-regulated insurance policy. Regardless of Nevadans' feelings on the benefits of the health-care legislation (and Mark believes there are benefits), Mark's work in defending Nevadans' rights to decide for themselves what products they wish to buy has received wide acclaim. Mark is committed to continuing to fight for Nevadans' rights as a State Senator.
