Over the last two years, we've watched as our legislature has become paralyzed with gridlock, rigid ideology, and extreme views that don't match up with our Minnesota values. The Republican majority even rejected several compromise budget offers and shutdown state government last year -- the longest such shutdown in our state's history.
Every year, we send essentially the same types of representatives to St. Paul each year. We send men and women who've become set in their ways--and will intend to keep this state in gridlock. We send men and women with no vision for a better Greater Minnesota.
The families, friends, and communities we love are suffering far too much to allow this gridlock to continue. It's time to send some new people with a new vision for Minnesota down to St. Paul. It's time to send some new people to St. Paul who understand that compromise and bipartisanship aren't evil words. Only by working together can we truly rebuild Minnesota's future.
