Rep. McKinley Responds to Murders of American Ambassador to Libya and Three Diplomats

Location: Washington, DC

This morning, Rep. David B. McKinley, P.E. (R-W.Va.) issued the following statement concerning the murders of Libyan Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other American Diplomats:

"These cowardly attacks on our American Embassies are an outright act of war," said Rep. McKinley. "Based around the world, our embassies are sovereign soil and should be as safe as our living rooms. These unwarranted and vicious attacks in Benghazi and Cairo by radical, Islamic extremists on the anniversary of 9/11 were no coincidence. This country is now looking for leadership--not apologies--after this brutal mob attack on innocent Americans. We need to respond in the quickest way possible, seek out those responsible, and bring them to justice in an American court of law."
