Scott Statement on Attack on U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya

Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Robert C. "Bobby" Scott issued the following statement on the deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya:

"I join the President, Secretary of State Clinton and my colleagues in Congress in strongly condemning the heinous attack on our consulate in Benghazi Libya, which has claimed the lives of four Americans, including our Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens. Service to our nation comes in many forms, and these Americans were serving in one of the most precarious and important ways -- advancing our nation's ideals of freedom and liberty through diplomacy. My condolences and prayers go out to each of their families."
