Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.), has received a 100% rating from the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Action Fund, for his leadership on and support of key legislation that advances equity for women and girls.

The AAUW Action Fund's Congressional Voting Record evaluates Congress' commitment to issues that are important to the Action Fund's mission including those in the areas of economic security, education, and civil rights.

"The American Association of University Women has always been one step ahead when it comes to ensuring equal pay, protecting reproductive rights, and expanding opportunities across the board for women," said Sen. Kerry. "Their work is important and they do it well - beating the drum day in and day out to make sure no one forgets for a minute that these issues are a priority. On behalf of my two daughters and all women, I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate all that they do, and I'll continue to keep doing my part here in the Senate."
