Throughout my time on the Metro Council I have worked successfully to bring economic development to the area. In partnership with small businesses and large companies, we have created good-paying jobs and improved the quality of life for you and your family.
As a businessman, I understand what it takes to make the 59th State House District a place of opportunity and growth. We have already seen great results with Publix, which employs approximately 90 people, opening a new store in the area. It was through hard work and a cooperative attitude toward business that also brought a new Thornton's on Bell Road, a Zaxby's to Southeast Davidson County and several new small businesses to the district.
We must create an environment that encourages small business creation and growth. Each new business that opens is an investment in our community. I understand what our community needs because I've been working to build that environment for years. As your State Representative, I will continue to fight to revitalize the retail business district, as well as the Southeast Davidson County corridor of Murfreesboro Road. Working together, we can continue to make progress and bring more jobs to our community.
