Fleming Votes for No More Solyndras Act

Press Release

Date: Sept. 14, 2012
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Representative John Fleming, M.D. (LA-4) released the following statement after voting today for the No More Solyndras Act, which passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 245-161:

"Taxpayers were left on the hook for half a billion dollars after the Obama Administration rushed to give loan guarantees to Solyndra, a solar panel company that went bankrupt. This legislation will stop the Energy Department from going forward with its failed loan guarantee program. The president's green jobs agenda has been a waste of taxpayer dollars, and this is a step toward stopping that waste."

Dr. John Fleming is a physician and small business owner and represents the 4th Congressional District of Louisiana. He is Chairman of the Natural Resources Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife, Oceans and Insular Affairs and is a member of the House Armed Services Committee.
