Congressman John Boehner (R-West Chester) issued the following statement praising the House for passing a resolution honoring the four Americans who died in Libya and condemning the attacks on United States diplomatic facilities in Libya, Egypt, and Yemen:
"We grieve with the families and loved ones of John Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone S. Woods, and Glen A. Doherty. They lost their lives doing their duty for their country, supporting our efforts to promote freedom, democracy, and human rights. There was no justification for these attacks. The bipartisan resolution passed by the House today honors our fallen countrymen and condemns in the strongest possible terms the attacks that took their lives. Americans will stand together in the face of aggression, and we will never relent in our commitment to freedom, free expression, and democracy."
