Blackburn Statement on Attacks in Libya

Statement

Date: Sept. 12, 2012
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Marsha Blackburn (TN-7) issued the following statement today condemning the attacks on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya that resulted in the senseless murder of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens.

"My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those brave Americans we have lost as a result of this despicable act of violence. This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers Americans face when serving our country abroad. This act of violence against our embassy and personnel heightens our awareness that we must remain vigilant in the fight against evil and those who would seek to do us harm."
