Today, Congressman Bill Owens marked the anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 attacks with the following statement:
"As New Yorkers, we share a profound understanding of the loss and grief America shared on September 11th, 2001," said Owens. "Today, we remember the families that lost loved ones, the first responders who answered the call to serve, and the men and women of America's armed forces who have defended our freedoms."
"The victims, families and heroes of 9/11 are in my thoughts and prayers today. It is my hope that in their memory, we can continue working together, in Washington and at home, to achieve lasting peace and prosperity for years to come."
