U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow made the following statement regarding the eleventh anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks:
"The anniversary of 9-11 is a time for our nation to remember the thousands of Americans who lost their lives on that tragic day. It's a time to pay tribute to the first responders and brave men and women in uniform who sacrificed so much then, and continue to put their lives on the line to defend our country. And it's a time to renew the spirit of unity, cooperation and public service that defines our nation. By coming together as a country, we truly honor those who lost their lives."
