Issue Position

It is unconscionable that government officials and government agencies use taxpayer funds for their own benefit. We need to return the bureaucratic federal government to the people of Main Street and remind Washington that they work for the people of America.

In Maine, under my leadership we were able to clean up the mess at the Maine Turnpike Authority in result sending the director to jail. I sponsored a bill to ensure that the director of the Maine State Housing Authority reports to the board of directors. We must ensure that governmental agencies and figures are held accountable for the use of taxpayer money.

The days of Congress and their family and friends profiting from our tax dollars must end.
