Issue Position

Oversight and Ethics: The State needs to ensure that when it creates regulations it follows up to make sure that they work. I think we should have follow up from one session to the next to see if the regulation accomplished what was proposed. If it doesn't work we need to overturn it and look to something else. I will also be a conservative fiscal watchdog and work on preventing the type of infighting that prevailed during the last session. With proper oversight we can eliminate waste and provide the services to those that need them. I am in favor of a hand up not a hand out. With this oversight I will focus on ethical actions in the house. I will not be swayed by special interest. I will be in Austin for you the people and no one else.
