Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today issued the following statement regarding the horrific attacks on Americans in Benghazi, Libya:

"I join all Americans in strongly condemning the horrific attacks in Benghazi, Libya, which took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens. It is of utmost importance that the Obama administration and Congress work together and act swiftly against these violent attacks at U.S. diplomatic missions in Libya as well as Egypt.

"My wife, Heidi, and I send our heartfelt condolences to the families of those murdered during the assault of the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi and pray for the continued safety of those Americans in diplomatic posts around the world."
