Adams Statement on 9/11 Anniversary

Statement

Date: Sept. 11, 2012
Location: Washington, DC

Rep. Sandy Adams (FL-24) released the following statement about the 11th anniversary of the September, 11, 2011 attacks.

"The nation and the world were shocked by the horrific attacks on the United States eleven years ago," said Adams. "Today is a day of remembrance of the thousands of lives lost on September 11, and a reminder of the security challenges we face in an ever changing world. Right now American troops are fighting overseas to protect our country, our rights, our freedoms and our liberties. For the past eleven years the United States has remained safe because of the continued vigilance of the men and women serving in our armed forces -- their sacrifices should never be forgotten. As we remember the fateful events of September 11, 2001, I encourage all Americans to never forget that freedom is not free, and to say a prayer for those who were killed in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia, as well as the for the family members they left behind."
