Congressman Jared Polis released the following statement to commemorate the attacks of September 11, 2001.

"On the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, we must remember those tragically lost, comfort their loves ones, and honor those who rushed toward the danger to save lives. Today, America is safer because the architect of the September 11th attacks is dead, and we thank the members of our Armed Forces who accomplished that mission of justice.

"September 11 will always be a day of sorrow, but now it is also a day of service. I encourage all Coloradans to use this time to reach out and lend a hand to those in need."
