As your State Representative, I will always fight for West Warwick, Coventry, and Warwick's interests. I will push for legislation that creates jobs for the people of Rhode Island and increase transparency and accountability in government. The old ways of doing business are not working. It's time for fresh ideas in the State House!

To get our state moving again we must:

Have a pro-business outlook to create jobs

Low taxes, less stifling regulation, a streamlined process for permits and licenses, and a simplified tax code will go a long way to improving Rhode Island's economy
Prevent Fiscally Strapped Communities from Going Under

I will fight every day to restore the cuts to state aid that have left local communities with fewer services, higher property taxes, higher car taxes, and depleted pension funds. The State can no longer balance the budget on the backs of financially distressed communities.
True Economic Development

Rhode Island's Economic Development Corporation (EDC) must be reformed. I opposed the Curt Schilling 38 Studios Deal because it was crony capitalism. No more one time fixes. The EDC must move away from being a bank and move towards being a partner of small business by providing expert advice and helping the state develop a more welcoming business climate.
Transparency and accountability

I led the way in fighting the Governor's proposal to eliminate the Bureau of Audits. We need watchdogs to look over taxpayer money. I will put in a bill to establish an independent audit committee for the state to ensure ethical, open, and fraud-free government for our citizens.
Pension Reform

The discussion surrounding pension reform must continue. Municipal and state reforms must balance the retirement security of employees, past and present, with the interests of the taxpayer. For local plans that are almost out of money, like West Warwick, we cannot sit idly by and do nothing. All parties must be brought to the table to find a solution to the issue that will define this generation.
