Hundreds of supporters turned out to see Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Dean Heller (R-NV) at rallies and events in Las Vegas and Reno today. Supporters cheered as the two Senators urged Nevadans to elect leaders that will provide Nevadans and Americans the opportunities to thrive and succeed in the November elections.
"Travelling across Nevada today, I'm amazed by the grassroots support for Dean Heller. His strong conservative message and reasonable solutions are exactly what this state and our country need right now. Dean Heller is the only candidate in this race who will fight to empower Nevadans and protect the principles of free enterprise that are the root of American exceptionalism," Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) said.
More than 500 people showed up at a rally in Reno at Mambo's on South Virginia Street. At the rally, Senators Heller and Rubio spoke, following remarks by Dave Buell, Dave Espinosa, State Senator Greg Brower (SD -15) and Congressman Mark Amodei (CD-2).
"I was honored to welcome Senator Rubio to Nevada. We both agree what a disaster Shelley Berkley and Barack Obama have been for our economy. Their premier policies -- the trillion dollar stimulus, the Wall Street bailout, the auto bailout and ObamaCare -- have done nothing but drive up debt and force Americans out of jobs. Their ideas are not working and it's time for a change," said Senator Dean Heller (R-NV).
In Las Vegas, more than 600 Dean Heller supporters turned out for a midday fundraiser, where Senator Heller and Marco Rubio also spoke. The packed room applauded and chanted, asking "Where are the jobs?" as they expressed their disappointment in Shelley Berkley's and President Obama's policies of bailing out Wall Street, Detroit and passing the trillion dollar stimulus.
The midday fundraiser followed a rally with supporters at Team Nevada, the coordinated effort to elect Republicans in state and federal races.
