Congressman Howard Berman issued the following statement regarding revisions made to the Democratic platform reinstating 2008 platform language recognizing Jerusalem as capital of Israel:
"I'm happy to see the platform was revised. Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Israel, the heart and soul of the Jewish people. Israel serves as a beacon of democracy in a sea of uncertainty, and the light of that freedom shines forward from Jerusalem. The United States will always stand with Israel, especially during times of regional uncertainty; this is a relationship that is ironclad."
