Issues: Employment and Affirmative Action Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity

Equality means equality for all. Period.

It is deeply unsettling that the majority of states still condone the legal firing of employees based solely on their sexual orientation or identity. This unjust practice is allowed to continue every single day despite overwhelming opposition from the American public. In fact, nearly 80% of Americans favor basic workplace protections for LGBT employees.

Despite wide-ranging support for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), Washington remains stalled by an extreme vocal minority, a minority of which my opponent, Congressman Dold, is a part. Please make sure to watch the video and also sign our petition telling Congress to pass ENDA now. Together we can put an end to this subjective and prejudicial practice once and for all.
