Taxes - Hero of the Taxpayer by Americans for Tax Reform

I have voted to reduce and eliminate some of the most burdensome taxes imposed on the American people. During my time in office, I strongly supported exploring reforms that will significantly simplify the existing and complicated tax code, as well as allow American families to keep more of their hard-earned money.

I have co-sponsored the Fair Tax, Flat Tax and the Tax Code Termination Act as a signal that we need comprehensive tax reform.

I have also supported the elimination of the death tax. Too many businesses are forced to close because they cannot afford to pay this tax of up to 55 percent of assets, costing employees their jobs. Permanent repeal of the estate tax would assist farmers and small business owners in planning for the future and in passing on a lifetime of hard work and savings to their children.
