Congressman Bill Shuster applauds the U.S. Court of Appeals D.C. Circuit's decision that says the onerous Environmental Protection Agency Cross-State Air Pollution Rule oversteps the boundaries laid out by Congress. The court went as far as to say the rule "stands on an unsound foundation."
"The EPA continues to over reach its authority. The court was right to rule that the EPA was putting too heavy a burden on states and small communities," said Shuster. "This is a win for Pennsylvania families who, because of this rule, faced the threat of higher energy bills, less reliable electricity, and job losses. In Congress, I remain focused on fighting out of control regulations that stifle economic growth."
"I am concerned with the well?being of our environment; however, we must be careful to make informed and sensible decisions when it comes to making massive regulatory changes to our economy," said Shuster.
