Issue Position

The federal government needs to assure an educated populace which can compete in the world of business. Some testing is appropriate, but not so much that it forces schools to teach to the tests. Pre-school for low income and disadvantaged families' children, career incentives for jobless, affordable student loans and grants for post-secondary, research funding for universities, are all needed, appropriate and cannot be shortchanged without negatively impacting our future.
